SPECIFIC EVENT INFORMATION
Are there any travel arrangements in place for getting to and from Alexander Stadium?
Whilst full transport details are still being finalised, we expect there will be a paid shuttle service operating between Birmingham city centre and Alexander Stadium. A park-and-ride option is also being explored, though we’re unable to confirm this at this stage. Please ensure you opt in for marketing communications at the point of purchase, so we can communicate with you about these opportunities when they become available.
Where is best to see what events?
One of the best things about coming to an athletics event is that you are never far away from the action, with multiple events happening at the same time and spread around the stadium there is always something to watch. In the stadium every seat gives you an excellent view of the action. If you love to watch the fastest athletes on the planet, the best seats to choose are in the West Stand. Want to watch the long and triple jumpers charging down the runway, then choose seats in the East Stand. If pole vault is more your thing, then the North Stand is for you whilst the South Stand offers the best view of the high jump. For throw events, in the North Stand you will be able to see the Shot Put. For the discus & hammer, the South & East Stands offer the best viewpoint. The East or West Stand will allow you to see the Javelin. And of course, not leaving out the endurance races where any seat in the stadium is great to cheer on the athletes as they compete laps of the track. Please note field event locations are subject to change depending on the wind direction on the day.
